Looking forward with Innovattic

What is in store for us in the coming years? Looking at the built environment, by 2030, the government requires 50% of a building to be circular. By 2050, it will be as much as 100%. In addition, according to Paris Proof, by 2050 an office building should only use 70 kWh of energy per m2 per year. Quite a challenge, but with the right techniques and mindset of people, it is certainly possible. And when we look at healthcare, we also face considerable challenges. The pressure on healthcare and healthcare costs are increasing. It's therefore high time to develop impactful solutions to counter these challenges.

Challenges in healthcare

We all feel that healthcare is under high pressure. An ageing population and with it rising healthcare costs are a serious problem. More and more doctors are retiring and we already have such a staff shortage! So we need to look for solutions that can reduce this pressure on healthcare. Fortunately, we can counter a lot of these challenges with automation.

Many staff tasks such as patient record keeping can be automated. Home monitoring and self-care are also on the rise. There are more and more online services that mean patients no longer need to physically visit the healthcare practice, but can simply receive the necessary care from home. Think about asking your care question online or performing heart measurements yourself with an app, for example. Fortunately, we see more and more healthcare institutions recognising the importance of digitisation. Previously, you mainly saw parties reluctant to invest in this because the results were not yet known enough. But more and more parties now understand very well that serious investments are needed to make serious solutions. My advice: get your wallet out, but do so selectively. It is better to make a real impact than to keep taking small steps that hardly have any effect. That is also where our focus lies this year from Innovattic. Looking for serious parties who really want to make the world a bit healthier, more fun and easier with digital solutions.

Challenges in the built environment

2030 is closer than you think. A year in which buildings have to comply with all kinds of regulations from the government. Now, making your buildings more sustainable and more circular is one thing, but making sure your building users also use your building in a sustainably responsible way is another. That is what we at Innovattic want to pay a lot of attention to this year. We see that more and more parties have an ear for gamification techniques to promote sustainable behavioural change among building users. With gamification, you can map people's behaviour very well. And once you have that insight, you can actually make things actionable.

Given that there are still a lot to gain in this area, we want to offer organisations from the built environment the chance to get started with this specific piece of sustainability. That is why we are giving away a free Gamification Pressure Cooker: a one-day session in which we develop a specific case into a testable prototype. Ideal for companies within the built environment where the biggest challenge lies in promoting sustainable behavioural change among building users. Want to know more about this action? We would be happy to tell you more about it.
